Desert Solar Plant — Inverter Stations
Equipment container Energy Desert-rated

Desert Solar Plant — Inverter Stations

Fourteen walk-in inverter and transformer stations for a utility-scale solar park, factory-integrated and FAT-tested before shipping.

Location
Middle East
Year
2023
Scope
14 × 40ft PV inverter & MV stations

Challenge

The site sat in a high-dust, 50 °C desert environment with a compressed grid-connection deadline. Conventional on-site electrical buildings would have required months of civil and MEP works in extreme conditions.

Solution

Modo engineered IP54 stations with calculated free-cooling airflow, C5M paint, internal earthing grids and pre-installed SCADA. Every station passed a full factory acceptance test — witnessed remotely by the client’s engineers — before loading.

Outcome

Site electrical works reduced from an estimated 14 weeks to 11 days. Stations commissioned in sequence with zero rework at energization.

800-Bed Construction Camp
Accommodation Turn-key camp Stacked units

800-Bed Construction Camp

A complete turn-key worker village for an infrastructure megaproject: accommodation, catering, sanitation and site offices delivered as one package.

Location
Southeast Asia
Year
2022
Scope
210 units — dormitory, kitchen, sanitary, office, laundry

Challenge

The contractor needed housing for 800 workers on a remote site within one season, with local authority welfare approvals and a fixed mobilization date tied to the main works contract.

Solution

Two-storey stacked dormitory blocks with external walkways, a 40ft kitchen with dining complex, toilet and shower blocks, and a project-office cluster. Units were manufactured in parallel batches and shipped on a rolling schedule matching the installation sequence.

Outcome

Camp handed over block-by-block over nine weeks; welfare audit passed at first inspection. The client has since redeployed 40 units to a second project.

National Touring Exhibition Units
Special container Hydraulic expansion Roadshow

National Touring Exhibition Units

Three expanding mobile showrooms for a consumer-electronics brand roadshow covering 40 cities in one season.

Location
Europe
Year
2024
Scope
3 × 53ft hydraulic expanding exhibition containers

Challenge

The brand needed a premium, consistent venue in cities with no suitable exhibition space — set up overnight, torn down by morning, repeated 40 times without visible wear.

Solution

Hydraulic fold-out walls triple the floor area at each stop. Display walls, track lighting, AV trunking and climate control were all factory-integrated; fold mechanisms were cycle-tested 500 times before delivery.

Outcome

40 stops completed with zero mechanical failures. Setup time averaged 48 minutes with a two-person crew.
