Desert Solar Plant — Inverter Stations
Fourteen walk-in inverter and transformer stations for a utility-scale solar park, factory-integrated and FAT-tested before shipping.
Challenge
The site sat in a high-dust, 50 °C desert environment with a compressed grid-connection deadline. Conventional on-site electrical buildings would have required months of civil and MEP works in extreme conditions.
Solution
Modo engineered IP54 stations with calculated free-cooling airflow, C5M paint, internal earthing grids and pre-installed SCADA. Every station passed a full factory acceptance test — witnessed remotely by the client’s engineers — before loading.
Outcome
Site electrical works reduced from an estimated 14 weeks to 11 days. Stations commissioned in sequence with zero rework at energization.
